Every summer, we all sort out: in our homes, our photos, our hard drives...
Yet, in companies, thousands of videos, photos, presentations and documents continue to sleep on storage without ever being reused.
Here we live exactly the same with over 100,000 photographs by André Abbe.
Every week, we rediscover new images that return to a new life thanks to their digitisation, sorting and dissemination (social networks, exhibitions, prints...).
This experience inspires us today a simple conviction: The best resource to create new content is often the one you already have.

The great summer cleaning of your photo and video content
Before producing new videos and photos in the fall, here are the five questions we ask ourselves at Abbe Photo.
1️Find the forgotten nuggets
The best content is sometimes those that have never been published.
At Abbe Photo, some photos remained invisible for almost fifty years before being exhibited or published on LinkedIn.

Keeping is not keeping everything.
Removing duplicates, unnecessary exports and temporary files reduces storage costs while finding useful content more easily.
3️Give AI your own content
An AI knows the Internet.
She doesn't know your business.
Your videos, photos and documents will make it unique.
4️Simply automate
No need to start with a big project.
A single automated process can already save several hours each week.
5️To preserve what counts
An archive has value only if it is still readable in ten or twenty years.
Scanning, backup, metadata...
To preserve is to prepare future uses.

The archive that did the buzz by Jeanne (Passadoc)
This month, Jeanne returns to the Facebook publication which shows that archives are no longer just a matter of heritage.
Archives become a lever for:
- transfer of knowledge
- Communication from Organizations
- Give the smile!

The shepherdess and the photographer
He was a shepherdess in Valberg.*We called Louise... Or Mrs. Clary.
On the afternoon of autumn, she met André Abbe, a friend of Roquebrune on Argens. They chatted for a while, grape harvest, neighbors marrying their son, in short, nothing!
- Look at me, Louise!
- And what are you gonna do with this picture?
Ah! Mrs. Clary... neither you nor Andrew know yet, but in about forty years, you will be one of the "Women of Provence" to whom Passadoc will pay tribute... The exhibition will tell the life of the shepherds, the bugadières, the peasants here...
Don't worry, Mrs. Clary... You'll be in good company!
What you don't know is that on July 12, Passadoc posted your photo on his Facebook page. It was an avalanche of "like" as they say today; Nearly 370 inches blue to say "like" intertwined with red hearts to say "jove"! And dozens of exchanges!
- It seems to me to recognize the lady I was going to get milk from with my grandmother...
- My Chief Warrant Officer Hervé Clary in Marseilles.
- The Clary des Moulins in Sauze were relatives with those of Valberg.
- She lived with her brother Marcel.
- She's my aunt Louise from Valberg in the neighborhood of La Rouille.
A triumph Madame Clary!
*The name Valberg is of recent creation, reduction in two syllables of « Berger valley ». This resort – skiing in winter and hiking in summer – is located between the villages of Péone and Beuil. The peaks of the Mercantour are close.
Behind the scenes of Abbe Photo
72 000, that's the number of photos we still have to scan. How far since the beginning of digitisation of 100 000 photos from archive in 2014. This allows us to make known series of photographs never published.
Some join social networks, others are shown at exhibitions.

Photographers Hector Danilo and Ariel Milner present their works around memory. There are also four photos of André Abbe from the 1970s-80s selected by employees of the BlueLemon to illustrate the company's four values. Will you guess the fourth value behind the picture of André?
