Bravades
Bravade : a word borrowed from Italian bravata (1547). If it is francized, the word retains the meaning of provocative behaviour*. For Mistral (Lou Tresor dòu Felibrige), Doing lo bravado is making musket discharges. It also states: Military escort accompanying a procession.
Over time, the bravade has become a celebration, a celebration during which a procession takes place.** (or a pilgrimage) protected by the military – not belligerent! – the mission of which is to remove possible enemies.
The word remains Provencal. Every year, the inhabitants of Fréjus, Saint-Tropez, Sainte-Maxime, will live several days at the rate of bravado, without fear of attacks since the bravaders ensure security.
To the sound of the fifes, drums and lights, these will march through the streets dressed in uniforms of military inspiration, carrying rifles and carabiners. At command, loud fire will make the tourists startle, scare the children... And the pigeons! and smile at the women of Provence who for the occasion will wear the beautiful costumes of the region.

Once upon a time...
André Abbe is talking!
Telephone directories and telephone booths have been replaced by computers and mobile phones.
Unfortunately, some people do not have computers or telephones.Ortable and hard for them. (Without my son's insistence, I would be one of them.)
When I go out, I sometimes run into phone booths in the hamlets or in the open countryside, but they're empty.
I remember waiting in front of a phone booth, the beautiful time of the Thirty Glory... Not glorious for everyone.

It was also the time of telegrams, the little blues, who announced joy – the birth of a child... or grief – the death of a relative...
It was still the time of the ladies of the post office, those to whom one confided his secrets, his love...

I like to stop at the cafe next to this tree when I go to Montpellier, I don't like the highway area right next door, and I like to get small shops to work...
