Houses...
Some tell the story of a family or an owner... So, Louis, sailor in La Royale. He retired to the Moors, baptizing his house The Kerguelens : in stopover on these wild islands, he met not the desolation but the love of Isabelle, researcher at the CNRS.
Because this is the last house in the village before the big road, the house makes reference and sometimes creates the stumbling block of the tourist, who fails GPS, who asks his way:
– To join Cogolin please?
– It's easy: at the next crossroads you turn right, you descend to the « Kerguelen » And there...
Giving a name to its property is not new fashion but until the beginning of 19e s., it is rather reserved for hobereaux: the plaque – expensive – is affixed not to the house, but to the gate of the park.
For the more humble dwellings, the grave mason or not the year of construction on the lintel of the entrance door.
In any case, the names chosen are sometimes singular: what may well mean « RECO » on the facade of this Mediterranean property? Only the neighbors know: these are the initials of the first names of the inhabitants: Romain, Enzo, Claude, Odile.
The tourist, on the other hand, seeks febrilely in the little lexicon that he carries with him everywhere, the translation of this word that he believes Provençal!
Humor is sometimes present: Samsuffy... Coastal shelter...
– Where is our house?
Patience... she's coming!

It looks like Provencal, but no...
Recently on Passadoc, André Abbe evoked the linguistic cousinage that we share with our Piedmontese friends...
This photo has been taken in Tende in the Alpes-Maritimes department (Tenda en occitan, italien, piedmontais, brigasque et ligure)
Formerly part of the province of Coni, Tende was annexed to France in September 1947, following the Treaty of Paris.

– Of course it's Provencal, that's what we're talking about in Tenda!
Patricia Jouve
– It's from the occitan.

A Passadocian :
– I have a picture of my grandmother in front of a 50s wood stove. And I'd like to tell her how to make mirabelle jams. How can I post them on the website?
Thank you! Passadoc is waiting for your archives, your texts, your memories!
Just send your photos, your writings to romenzo2010@gmail.com ...
Claude Boyer takes care of the rest and soon everyone will be able to read you on Passadoc-Facebook.

André Abbe
I recently told you about Aman Goujon and his black sheep. I had chosen a photo of a black lamb to illustrate my text. Here is a picture of Aman in person (right) holding a beautiful Rove goat two-coloured coat.

How was your friend?
Seeing him like this, you can't imagine an exuberant man, but rather a taiser... happy with her goats and only the calm of pasture.

I like geography but I don't like mathematics.

I think the AI should do this to us quickly... the calculations... And we could even have surprises...
As for the displacement of the « terminal » This is another pair of sleeves!... This is a decision to be taken at the national level...
