The shepherds' umbrella
Obviously, the one who houses men, dogs and donkeys is a pondo!
Pando? Aco ? Almost a hundred years old, it's the brand* a vast umbrella that all shepherds possess... Almost. It protects them from rain, wind, lightning; When the warm summer months arrive, it becomes parasol.
Its peculiarities :
- 1.25 m in diameter,
– 9 rattan whales,
– 1 mast of beautiful beech size as well as the pommeau whose rounded shape allows a good hold in hand, a hand that can thus be slipped in a pocket when it is cold.
– a blue cotton canvas, double woven tight, extremely resistant, now resined. In the past, three or four heavy rains were required for cotton yarns to tighten strongly and become waterproof.
– the essential metal parts are made of brass.
Early XXe In the Ossau valley, shepherds and their sheep in transhumance often stopped at Pau. They took advantage of it to buy, repair or change the canvas of their umbrella that they kept almost all their lives!

* Information, out of any publicity. The house Pando, installed in the Béarn, is the only one in France to produce this umbrella.
Well sheltered under the robust umbrella, beasts and shepherds await the end of the shower...
André Abbe gives some details about donkey, an animal so often described when it is so close to man in many areas:
It is the donkey of course but it can also be the mule or mule, products of the union of a donkey and a mare and the bardot born from the mating of a horse and a donkey.

The Gourdano/Gordana's Liera: se vei ben que caladada (bassas amb damiras) sus aquesta iera se batiá lo blad, la civada; May aquesta Gordana name of ostau o name of luec vengut of toponomia.
It can be seen that thus emptied (perhaps even with cardinal markers) on this area we beat wheat, oats; but this Gurdane family name (owner of the place) or a name of place toponymic.
Guy d'Arco, artisan fisherman
For Guy d'Arco, there is no better job than fishing.
He loves nature and « when you love nature you have to protect it » points out.
He never tires of the beauty of the sea, the flamboyant sunrises, the full silver moons, the teasing dolphins playing near his pointed.
For many years he slept on board his boat contemplating the celestial vault and the stars that sparkle up there. This relationship to the universe fills him with an incredible and indefinable peace of mind. It is with humility that he thanks the sea and our motherland. Fishing is respect for all life.

Women live...
Every 8 March, Women's Rights Day reminds us that in France they only vote since 1945....
That until recently she had to « Follow her husband » when she was getting married and the boss in the family was him.
With the evil spirit that you know me, I think that since men have the right to declare that they are women, « True » Women face new conditions of inequality. They must accept men in places previously reserved for them, they must accept their competition in sports events.
For now, only women are able to bring children to birth and self-proclaimed women will not be able to change anything.
André Abbe
I don't like that day. « Rights of Women ». For 24 hours, there are cases... We propose solutions that will solve all the evils! I promise!
Everything will be in order on the day when we will no longer need this day drowned in the middle of other more or less serious topics. I found on a site:

It's kind of like Christmas, not having to wait until December 25 to make a present.
Marseille Vespers
This name refers to « Sicilian Vespers" when in 1282 the French settled in Sicily were massacred and expelled from the island.
