Four international artists for a unique performance: "Provence intime" takes place on Friday, August 23, 2024
4 international artists take part in the "Provence intime" show. Musician, actor, singer, dancer... Let's get to know these stars from Dubai, London, Marseille and Montpellier. And first, we remind you why Abbe Photo organized the event.
The "Provence Intime" event on August 23, 2024 is organized by the Abbe Photo association. It is aimed at enthusiasts of photography and the stories of Provence. This unique event (one public performance only!) is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the work of André Abbe. It features the best shots from over 100,000 photographs capturing 55 years of history and daily life in Provence, and travels around the world.
Our aim is to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving Provence's photographic and cultural heritage. It also aims to encourage the participation of patrons to support future projects to archive and restore these precious photographs. The event will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas and promoting appreciation of Provençal traditions and art de vivre.
Our association is also looking for exhibition venues abroad (Germany, United States, Great Britain and Japan in particular).
This event promises to be a captivating immersion in the history and culture of Provence, offering participants a rare chance to discover previously unseen photographic works and meet the people behind this exciting project.
We're incredibly lucky to have four talented artists on board, each bringing their own unique touch to the "Provence intime" event. Their commitment and creativity promise to make this an unforgettable event. Let us introduce them to you! If you like it, remember to reserve your place at the event.
Nazpari Azari: the artist entrepreneur

Nazpari Azari, aka Nanaz, is a multifaceted artist who excels in both music and entrepreneurship. Born in Iran and educated in Rome and Lausanne, she combines her musical talents with a career as a chef in the hotel industry. Founder of TAPENAZ, an innovative brand of tapenade, she has succeeded in marrying the flavors of the Orient with unique culinary know-how. At the same time, Nazpari continues to sing, notably the works of Édith Piaf, bringing a touch of elegance and emotion to every performance. Her versatility and dynamism add an extra dimension to our event.
François Abbe discovers Nanaz's incredible performance in... Amsterdam! He decided to contact her, telling her about André Abbe, who began his photographic career in Iran in 1969 thanks to UNESCO. Nanaz agreed to come all the way from Dubai to perform as a volunteer and support our associative project!
Flavio de Brito: pure Latin dance

Brazilian choreographer and dancer Flavio de Brito has taken his passion and talent for dance all over the world, from Curitiba to the UK. Specializing in Argentine tango and Latin American dances, Flavio captivated audiences with his original choreography and spellbinding performances.
Whether for dance workshops, festivals or prestigious shows, he knows how to captivate and move with his graceful movements and stage presence. Flavio is also a dedicated teacher, sharing his knowledge with enthusiasm and generosity. His participation promises to bring a touch of grace and dynamism to our event.
François Abbe met Flavio when he lived in Portsmouth, in the south of England. He immediately thought of Flavio and his dancers for the "Provence intime" show. They're volunteering to dance at the event in support of the association!
Emmanuel Collombert: the virtuoso trumpeter

Emmanuel Collombert is an exceptional trumpeter, trained by the greatest and winner of numerous international competitions. Having collaborated with prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre de Paris, Emmanuel is renowned for his virtuosity and technical mastery. In addition to his impressive performances, he is a talented composer and arranger, as well as a respected teacher at the Conservatoire de Montpellier. His passion for music is reflected in every note he plays, and his presence at our event is a real treat for all music lovers present.
Emmanuel also counts a photographer in his family: Pierre Collombert, a colleague whom André Abbe considers the best French photographer of the rural world.
Emmanuel Collombert played several trumpet solos at a small-scale event. This moved François Abbe, who asked Manu (Emmanuel) to take part in the artistic creation "Provence intime". Manu comes to play voluntarily at the event in support of the association.
Xavier-Adrien Laurent: theater in the blood

A native of Marseille, Xavier-Adrien Laurent, also known as XaL, is a true jack-of-all-trades in the entertainment world. As an actor, author, director and cultural event planner, he has left his mark on the theatrical scene with works ranging from Shakespeare to Pagnol. His solo shows, such as "Textuellement transmissible" and "Xavon de Marseille", have been acclaimed by audiences.
XaL is not only a talented actor, but also an innovator, creating "out of the box" theatrical projects that surprise and delight. His commitment to promoting the arts and local artists makes him an essential pillar of our event. XaL performed a play by André Neyton at the Festival d'Avignon 2024. André Abbe is president of the Centre Dramatique Occitan, directed by André Neyton. It was in this context that André thought of XaL to stage the show "Provence intime".
Conclusion: they're waiting for you!

We are delighted and honored to welcome Nazpari Azari, Flavio de Brito, Emmanuel Collombert and Xavier-Adrien Laurent to create and enrich our "Provence intime" event. Their talent, passion and commitment guarantee an exceptional artistic experience for all participants.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event, where you'll be inspired by their creativity around André Abbe's photographs.
