Scanning 100000 photos is Timed and expensive... But what is the real return on investment? A preserved heritage, an enhanced brand image, and the pleasure of transmitting.

Since 2015, we tested, failed, succeeded. Our bet What if we talked about good memories rather than tragic news? Since then, we have:

• Digitalized and published our first archives on Facebook (2015)
• Established the Association Passadoc to raise awareness about digitizing photos (2016)
• Facing health problems (2018) without giving up
• Set a goal: complete the digitization of the archives André Abbe by 2030 (there are 67000 left in 2026!)

Our key learnings to share with you

Scan :

• Flat Scanner ? Plan backlighting for films, mechanical/electronic cleaning, and delegate (low value added).
• Photo with smartphone ? Quick solution for paper prints.
• Photo bench Professional? Ideal for large funds (e.g. Digital Image at ADMN).

Save and sustain :

• The golden rule : 1 file, 2 different media, 3 copies (e.g. 1 cloud + 2 synchronised hard drives).
• Printing : Fine art, books (Escourbiac), calendars... for your archives to live Out of screens.

Enjoying :

• Expose (at home, in public), share with your loved ones or on at least 2 social networks (no question of betting everything on a single multinational!).
• Our lesson : After the wild closure of our Facebook account, we chose caution: « we are not slaves serving multinationals ».

The real key to success? Human
